Segezha Group started shipping laminated beams and CLT from Sokol to China

In December, Segezha Group made the first shipment of laminated beams and CLT to Chinese customers. The train with two containers of laminated beams (105 m³) and two containers of CLT panels (100 m³) has already arrived in Qingdao. The next batch of structural materials for wooden housing construction — four containers with beams (200 m³) – will be shipped to PRC buyers in January 2024.

The beams were produced by Sokolsky DOK, and the CLT panels, by Sokol CLT. In 2023, the group supplied 85% of its laminated structural beams to the domestic market. Developers in the Moscow, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, and Tver Regions, as well as those from southern Russian areas are happy to buy these beams.

At the moment, Segezha Group mostly exports this product to Armenia, Georgia, Israel, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The key customers of CLT moldings were developers of private housing projects and hotel complexes in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Krasnodar Regions, as well as Karelia. The company shipped CLT to Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Turkey.

The capacity of Segezha Group exceeds 100,000 m³ of glued laminated structures and 50,000 m³ of CLT per year.
