Segezha Group launched a new woodworking center
Segezha Group continues to implement an investment project on increasing the capacity of Vyatsky Plywood Mill in Kirov, as reported by the company’s official Telegram channel. A new automatic woodworking center by Homag with numeric control for additional plywood panels processing was started up in autumn within the project’s first stage. This will make it possible to fulfill more complicated special orders. Operations on building foundations for a corner panel saw were also completed, and new compressors were installed to supply compressed air to the production venue.
Besides, the lighting system is being replaced, and auxiliary equipment is being upgraded. The upgrade will increase the production capacity of Vyatsky Plywood Mill by 63,500 m³ per year, to 255,000 m³. The mill in Kirov currently produces 192,000 m³ of plywood per year. There is a total of 13 plywood types in its portfolio: tanker LNG plywood for sheathing LNG vessels, flexible plywood for non-conventional structures, low-combustible plywood for a wide range of applications, etc.
