– In January-June 2015, Lesozavod 25 increased processing of sawlogs by 6.8% to 558,000 m3.

– The Swedish company Valutec is currently carrying out the final stage of 11 drying kilns delivery for the Russian enterprise “Asia-Les” based in Khabarovsk.

– Timber harvesting in the Far-Eastern Sakhalin region in the first half of 2015 amounted to 164,600 m3, the production of lumber – to 37,000 m3.

– Adoption of amendments to the Forest code of the Russian Federation will allow to increase the annual volume of logging by 10% or 22 million m3.

– Russian Anti-Monopoly Service initiated a case against the Arkhangelsk pulpmill on the grounds of setting monopoly-high prices for softwood pulp.
