2 June 2014 ` 14:52

Russian National Forest Products Association has begun to collect funds for residents in remote town of Irkutsk region, where a wildfire has left 30 families homeless. Presently, 94 people (including 14 children) have found a shelter and live in the local school, which was saved from the fire.

Although suffering a great personal loss, all of the fire victims are determined to stay in this small remote taiga settlement, rather than to relocate. Collected funds will go to affected victims, to help with a day-to-day needs, however much more will be needed to fully rebuild and reconstruct damaged homes and personal properties.

Members of the Association participate in the On-Line fundraising program. Please follow the link and join. All raised funds will be used to purchase basic necessities.
