Russia: sawn timber exports is falling at the high rates over the past 5 years

According to customs statistics, in 1Q 2020 the decline in sawn timber exports amounted to 7.7% to 6.83 million m³. The reason was the decrease in consumption in the Chinese market due to the restrictions introduced, against the backdrop of the spread of COVID-19. This is the highest pace decline in sawn timber exports from Russia since 2015.
