Oktyabrsky LZK is going to invest over 1 billion rubles to build a sawmill in the Irkutsk Region

The project includes building a new sawmill and additional drying kilns, an electrical substation, approach roads and a wood pellet plant with the capacity of 40,000 t of wood pellets a year. The mill commissioning is scheduled for January 2022.

Oktyabrsky LZK is harvesting 200,000 m³ of logs a year, half of which it processes in-house. Launching a new sawmill will enable the enterprise to process all of its wood in-house.

At the moment, Oktyabrsky LZK is expecting to be granted with the status of a Regional Investment Project participant, which will entitle the enterprise to preferential tax treatment.
