Mondi invests €30 million into one of its most innovative factories for the production of corrugated packaging
About €30 million will be invested in the modernization of the Mondi factory in Ansbach in southern Germany, including the installation of a modern corrugated unit, which is planned to be completed in 2020. This will allow the company to improve the quality of products, as well as to expand the product line in the field of packaging for large goods.
Corrugated boxes Mondi can simultaneously carry up to 20 car caps and can withstand weight up to 1 thousand kg during the transportation of engines or transmissions. Corrugated cardboard boxes with triple walls replace the old packaging materials, such as wood (wooden crates) or metal packaging.
According to Armand Schoonbrood, COO Mondi Corrugated Packaging, “the German economy is export-oriented, and our customers are from various industries – from automotive to engineering. Therefore, in our plans to increase the product line and consolidate its position in the segment of corrugated packaging for large cargoes. We believe that the use of corrugated packaging for large-size goods in construction, agriculture and electronic commerce is promising and will be in demand”.
