In Q3 2020, International Paper’s loss from participating in Ilim Group reached $33 million

In Q2 2020, a profit of $63 million was reported. Deteriorating financial performance was caused by higher planned maintenance expenses. Besides, reduced prices for wood pulp and paper in the domestic and foreign market was compensated by growing volumes of shipments to China. The company registered a cashless loss of $55 million after tax from participation in the Group; Q2 2020 ended with a cashless after-tax profit of $34 million.
