In 2019, Solikamskbumprom celebrates 70 years of production of its main products – newsprint

In 2019, JSC “Solikamskbumprom” celebrates the anniversary of the release of its main products – newsprint. This was reported by the press service of the company. In 1949, a significant event took place in the life of Solikamsk pulp and paper mill-commissioning of the high – speed paper machine №2 with a grid width of 4560 mm.

At the end of October 1949, the car was ready for launch. The trial start of the paper machine with the supply of mass to the grid began on 28 and ended on 31 October, when the paper was brought to roll. Working setup of the machine continued until December, and technical characteristics were improved later. Steadily the machine began to work in December.

Memories of the head of the laboratory Alla Fedorovna minder, preserved in the Museum of the history of JSC “Solikamskbumprom”, during the launch, she served as a technologist of the new newspaper production: “as we were worried, we tried to do everything right. By the holiday of October really wanted to get the paper. We only went home to sleep.”
