The volume of plywood production in Russia in 2018 increased by 7.7% (yoy) to 4.013 million m3, such data leads Rosstat. The increase in volumes was influenced by stable forest supply of plywood plants (in comparison with the disastrous season for timber removal in Q3 2017) and the growth of production at enterprises engaged in investment projects.
According to WhatWood, about 90 plywood mills are engaged in plywood production in Russia. The average annual growth rate of plywood production in Russia over the past 5 years was 4%, the average load of enterprises – 76%.
