Elit LLC project included in the list of priority investment projects in wood processing

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has included Elit LLC’s project for the modernization of wood processing facilities and the establishment of a chemical-thermomechanical pulp (CTMP) production line in the list of priority investment projects. This was reported by the official portal of the Irkutsk Region government.

The project involves the utilization of low-grade timber and wood industry waste. It is planned to increase sawn timber production by 70,000 m³ and CTMP production by 70,000 tons. Investments will amount to 2.33 billion rubles, 200 new jobs will be created, and the planned timber harvesting volume is 547,600 m³.

Currently, 14 priority investment projects are being implemented in the Irkutsk Region to develop the forestry sector, with a total investment volume of 154.8 billion rubles and more than 3,000 new jobs created.
