Digitization of forests was completed in the Zabaykalsky Region

Peuru Rus and Roslesinforg completed the analysis of 2 million ha of forests in the region’s central and south-western areas. Today, this program is being tested at Federal Forestry Agency (Rosleskhoz) until November 10. By the end of the year, both Zabaykalsky Region and Khabarovsk Region will start to use this platform in full,” noted Mikhail Churkin, Deputy Chair of the Government of the Zabaykalsky Region, during a briefing meeting on October 26.

This online service will consist of four main units: an interactive map with up-to-date data on the available forest resources, an online trading venue for distribution of forest areas use rights via auction, an online goods and services ‘exchange’, and a ‘digital timber passport’.
