Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Mill and Vologodskiye Lesopromyshlenniki Group purchased Sheksna Wood Board Plant

This transaction is aimed at enhancing the market positions of the largest wood processing enterprises from the Vologda Region by increasing board products output volumes and expanding the companies’ product range by producing MDF boards. Sheksna Wood Board Plant produces almost a full range of board products – particleboard, laminated particleboard and MDF.

This is not the first business integration of the two companies. Cherepovets Plywood and Furniture Plant and Vologodskiye Lesopromyshlenniki Group have previously invested in implementing a new project on building a plywood mill in Vokhtoga village with the capacity of 120,000 m³/y and increasing the existing particleboard and laminated particleboard production capacity to 300,000 m³/y. The project’s investment value was 6-8 billion rubles. The company is supposed to reach its design production capacity in 2021.
