Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill will invest 500 million rubles in building a new tree seed center

The mill’s corporate selection and seed center whose area will exceed 10 ha will become one of the most contemporary in Russia. A greenhouse and a laboratory complex will be built in its territory, which will accommodate a branch of the department of Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University (NArFU).

The fully automated center will produce up to 9 million seedlings with improved genetics a year. It is planned to grow the basic forest-forming regional species in this forest nursery – Baltic pine (Pinus sylvestris) and European spruce (Picea abies). 30 jobs will be created there.
