WhatWood has published an annual report ‘Russian Softwood Sawmills, 2017-2018‘.
In 2017, the sawmill sector set a record: 40.6 million m3, + 10.3% (y / y). The growth in production was secured by high demand from China. Export sales to China increased by 20% (y / y) to 16.1 million m3.
The Russian Softwood Sawmills, 2017-2018 includes detailed information about the 100 largest Russian producers of softwood lumber:
- brands and models of installed equipment;
- rated capacity, actual production and exports by the end of the last year;
- leading export markets for sawn timber (countries and volumes);
- exports of wood chips, sawdust and pellets produced by the plant, leading consumers in Russia and abroad;
- timber specifications;
- priority investment project statuses, its characteristics.
