Andritz and Dieffenbacher deliver MDF plant to Egypt

Andritz and Dieffenbacher will supply Nile Wood SAE, a subsidiary of Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH), with a complete MDF plant with wood chip washing and pressure fiberization system for the new location in Sadat City, Egypt. Commissioning is planned for the end of 2021.

The wood chip washing machine and the pressure refining system, including a proven 54-1CP refiner with a capacity of up to 20 tons per hour, form the heart of the MDF production line. The new plant will process fast growing timber with a very low moisture content as raw material. The tailor-made technological solution for this particular type of plant was the main reason for awarding the contract to Andritz.
