Logs exports from Russia to Finland is declining a moderate pace

In 1Q 2020, softwood and hardwood logs exports from Russia to Finland decreased by 8.8% to 1.12 million m3. However, exports of hardwood raw materials almost did not change: there was just a slight decrease of 1.4% to 992,000 m3. Moreover, birch pulplog exports (with a diameter of > 15 cm, including partially birch veneer logs) even grew by 7.4% YoY and amounted 677,000 m3 in Q1 2020.
