Belarus has opened a new woodworking shop for the production of sawn timber up to 700 cubic meters a month

A significant event occurred in the GLHU “Loevsky leshoz”. Loevsky foresters expect that all costs for the creation woodworking will pay off. The first products of the new shop have already been sold on the stock exchange.

Earlier there was no own woodworking in Loyevsky leshoz. But the leadership of the Gomel state forest production association decided to create woodworking facilities taking into account local characteristics in each economy of the region. It had to be solved within the framework of the program of industrial development of woodworking industries of the Ministry of forestry of the Republic of Belarus for 2019.

According to the chief engineer of forestry enterprise Alexandra Puntus, the total cost of a new plant amounted to RUB 897,500 including RUB 310,000  for woodworking equipment of SKY WOOD of Dneprspecmash, the Ukrainian company. The board, sawdust and fuel chips are made. A large amount of work was carried out in the preparation of the premises and the territory of the new woodworking production. A checkpoint and a shed for lumber storage were built. Concreting was carried out on the necessary technological areas. Set the bath for antiseptic treatment of the products, a system of aspiration and of mono-substation. Forklift truck, attachments to it and two trailers were bought.
