The authorities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra plan to open an Industrial Park on the basis of a closed MDF plant in the village of Mortka in the Kondinsky district. On April 03, 2019, Director of the Department of the industry of Ugra Kirill Zaitsev told TASS on the sidelines of the Ugra industrial forum.

In 2018, the MDF plant, which produced a fiberboard, was closed in Mortka. for a long time, it remained almost the only employer for the residents of the village. According to the district authorities, on the basis of the MDF plant, it is planned to launch a multi-profile production of deep processing of wood until 2022. It is planned that for this purpose in 2019 the property of the enterprise will be transferred to the investor.

“Industrial Park “Kondinsky” will appear in Mortka. We plan to develop bioenergy and wood processing there. We already have a potential investor – construction company “Leader” (Tyumen region), which is engaged in the production of pliers. He’ll be a key resident there. They will produce chips and boilers for biofuel there,” Zaitsev said.
