At the Vyatka plywood plant in the Kirov region Segezha Group (AFK “System”) two installations for heating thermal oil by 7 MW and two installations for the production of saturated steam with a capacity of 8 MW manufactured by Polytechnik (Austria) were put into operation. The installation provides heat for the industrial equipment industries and is designed for the complete elimination of bark waste for the production of plywood produced in the technological cycle of the enterprise. Thanks to the introduction of new equipment, the company removed the gas-fired steam boiler from the production cycle.

Implementation of the project on the energy use of wood waste allowed to reduce the actual cost of a 1 Giga-calorie 5 times. The new equipment will allow to develop 61 thousand Gcal per year and reduce the costs of the plant by 43.5 million rubles. Investments in the development of energy Vyatka plywood plant amounted to about 900 million rubles.

“As a result of incineration of production waste with minimal emissions of flue gases, we will get the maximum environmental effect “- commented Vice-President of Segezha Group, head of the division” Plywood and plates ” Yuri Shadrin.

The operation is fully automatic, from fuel to generation of heat. All information about the operation of the equipment in a simple and understandable form is displayed on the monitor of the visual control system in the form of diagrams, tables and graphs. All installations on the shift are managed by only two operators and an electronics engineer headed by the shift Manager. The plants do not require a large number of maintenance personnel.

In addition to the energy project in Kirov, Segezha Group develops bioenergy, waste-free production in other regions of presence. Thus, a multi-fuel boiler manufactured by the Finnish company Valmet was launched at Segezha Ppm in the commissioning mode. A modern boiler plant for the production of steam for the technological processes of the plant was put into operation in the framework of the 3rd stage of the investment project for the modernization of the Segezha PPM.
