Sveza installs a new moisture meter in Tyumen

26 January 2021 ` 15:51

The Tyumen mill of Sveza has installed a new moisture meter. Investment in the new measuring equipment amounted to around RUB 8 million.

The new equipment can help to prevent parts of the high-moisture veneer from getting to the next production line, thus significantly reducing the risk of defects. The device will also help speed up the process of checking the veneer for moisture content and completely eliminate the human factor.

Using the moisture meter, the operator can monitor online the moisture level of the veneer and respond to deviations in a timely manner. By adding the new unit, the mill will continue to improve the quality of its finished products.

“The new equipment will help us to meet the stringent requirements for the products we manufacture and to achieve the required moisture level of the veneer,” said Nikolai Gorodetsky, Director of Sveza mill in Tyumen.

In 2021, Sveza mill in Tyumen will implement an investment program total value of which is 200 million rubles. One of the important projects will be improving environmental safety of production; the mill will invest over 35 million rubles in this area. Also, this year, installation of the ventilation system and equipment modernization will continue.
