Logging enterprises of Segezha Group (enters in AFK “Systema”) in 1Q 2019 purchased and use equipment designed to conduct intensive and sustainable forest management. These are two large logging complexes produced by Ponsse, each of which includes two middle-class harvesters and one forwarder, according to the corporate press center.

The company’s investments in the project of implementing an intensive forest management model amounted to about 365 million rubles. Intensification of forest management plays a major role in the investment project to increase the capacity of Segezha pulp and paper mill.

The transition to an intensive forest management model will allow the company to provide a significant increase in the volume of raw materials on the already leased areas, while contributing to the improvement of forests. Science and practice proved that the increase in the volume of the workpiece can significantly exceed 30 %.
