11 August 2019 ` 21:58

In the framework of long-term cooperation of  TransLes LLC and Segezha Group (part of AFK “Sistema”) has successfully sent the first batch of innovative timber-carrying platforms (model 13-6923) lumber production of  Lesosibirsky LDK №1 JSC the purpose of the station Novorossiysk and further to sea transportation abroad.

The new four-axle platform with 20 racks has an increased loading length of 18.5 meters and a capacity of 73.5 tons, which allows for the loading of dry lumber with a volume of 130 cubic meters to 145 cubic meters. The use of the new car will allow to ship 40% more finished products compared to standard gondola cars. The design features of this model provide a noticeable reduction in loading time and costs, which accelerates rolling stock turnover and improves transport efficiency.

The racks are provided with eyelets that increase the rigidity of the fastening, while simplifying the loading of the “cap”, which has a positive impact on the safety of transportation. In comparison with gondola cars, preparation of the car before loading – installation of wooden racks and connecting boards, as well as screed racks – is not required.

TransLes LLC  is part of the Group of companies “RTK” is a diversified railway holding, one of the largest independent operators of rolling stock in Russia. The company specializes in transportation of forest cargoes in domestic and export traffic.  The company manages more than 10,000 timber platforms of various types, including fitting and universal platforms.
