– Ilim Group has announced the investment of $2 billion in development of its production facilities in the next five years. The company plans to increase annual output by 500 thousand tonnes during this time.

– Chinese Hubei United Investment Group LLC is ready to participate in the expansion of production and infrastructure at the timber industry park Asino (Tomsk region).

– The company Ustyeles is ready to implement a new major investment project in the industrial park Sokol in the Vologda region. The construction of the complex will begin in the summer of 2016. It is planned to establish production of lumber, charcoal, fuel pellets and wood chips there.

– VneshEkonomBank (VEB) has demanded Mekran company to repay debt under five credit contracts. The amount of the first claim amounts to 6.2 billion roubles, the second one to €86.2 million.

– Vologdaleshoz continues the development of further processing in the framework of the priority investment project. Now the mill in Syamzha completes installation of four chamber dryers BaltBrand.

– Rovial company sets up a line of lumber cutting and sorting at its plant in Uvatsky district of the Tyumen region. The launch of the line is scheduled for July 2016.

– Woodworking company Kastamonu launched a second MDF/HDF line at its plant in the SEZ Alabuga (Republic of Tatarstan) on Dieffenbacher equipment. The rated capacity of the second line is 485 thousand m3 of panels per year. The first line with a capacity of 565 thousand m3 of MDF and 20 million m2 of laminate flooring was launched in 2014.

– Deputy Director General of AVIC International Cheng Baozhung noted that in 2016 the company Roskitinvest intends to harvest 600 thousand m3 of logs, increase the lumber output at its plant in Asino, Tomsk region to 200 thousand m3 and the production of veneer up to 40 thousand m3.

– In the framework of the priority investment project of another Chinese investor, the construction of a sawmill in Amur region has been completed by TsPK Polyarnaya LLC. Start of production is scheduled for the second half of 2016.
