– Karelia Pulp has officially announced its intention to redeem Kondopoga pulpmill at the auction, which presumably will take place in the spring of 2017. “Through our own investments, we have consolidated more than 50% of debts of the enterprise amounting to $100 million,” said General Director of Karelia Pulp Alexey Demchishin. “Financial investments in the mill have been made with a prospect of its further development.” According to Demchishin, at the moment there is no interest in the pulpmill among other market players, and the company expects to redeem this enterprise. However, the President of Segezha Group Sergey Pomelov had previously expressed interest in the mill.

– Kraslesinvest has launched a sawmill worth 17.4 billion RUB in the Krasnoyarsk region into commercial operation, Kommersant-Siberia newspaper reported. By the end of this year, it is planned to produce 36,000 m3 of lumber.

– The head of the Jewish autonomous region Alexander Levintal has visited the Russian-Chinese enterprise Lesprombank in Birobidzhan town. KRL Lesprombank LLC was created by Heilongjiang Corporation Yun An and Lidoga Trading LLC (Khabarovsk region).

– On the eve of the second Eastern economic forum, the Corporation of development of the Far East signed an agreement with Industrial Park Ussuri LLC on the construction of a plant for the production of containerboard and corrugated packaging from wastepaper.
