– Zabaikalsky region governor Konstantin Ilkovsky has visited the site of priority investment project TsPK Polyarnaya. According to the regional authorities, the project is going on schedule. The project will comprise three stages.

– On 18 May 2015, Chinese freight train arrived in Wuhan (Hubei province, Central China) with 50 containers of timber from Russia, as Xinhua agency reported.

– On May 28, 2015, Turkish Kastamonu Entegre laid the first stone in the foundation of its second Russian plant for the production of wood panels.

– The Kirov region government approved the request of Holz House LLC on the priority investment project status. Manufacturing of laminated veneer lumber will require investments of 437 million roubles.

– Tests of experimental newsprint at the Volga pulpmill, made from 100% thermo-mechanical pulp, have been successful, according to the press service of the company.

– The government of the Udmurtia Republic approved the request of Orion company on the priority investment project status. Investment scope will reach 325,2 million roubles, while the payback period is seven years.

– The Forest Service has allocated 404,5 million roubles on the implementation of automated information system of wood trade control. Since this system is already up and running, it is in fact a request for its redesign.

– The Ministry for nature management and ecology of Karelia has approved two applications for inclusion in the list of priority investment projects.

– Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) launches a Russian-language version of the international B2B platform for finding buyers and sellers of FSC-certified products.
