Perm pulpmill started production of grease-proof cardboard

2 August 2013 ` 06:12

PTsBK Group started production of a grade which does not have analogues on the Russian corrugated packaging market and, according to the company, will become additional growth point for the whole industry. Perm pulpmill produced first test party of grease-proof cardboard. Experts note that the market has long ago been mature for such innovations which can be used in packaging for fast food and many other groceries.

Grease-proof effect is reached through treatment with special substances, so as to make paper pores impenetrable to grease and oils. Unlike cardboard laminated with polyethylene, grease-proof board is a mono-material and is easily recycled. First clients are already testing the novelty.

The company is going to start production of several specialty cardboards which are in high demand on the Russian corrugated board market and still do not have analogues in Russia.
