Participants of “Foresight: Wooden house-building 2030 gains momentum” to discuss the industry in three sessions

The participants of the project “Foresight: Wooden house-building 2030 gains momentum” will gather on 6, 15 and 28 May at three discussion sessions to talk about the frame technology in housing construction, architecture of wooden houses and usage of glued products in construction, as WhatWood learned from the Association of wooden house-building (AWH).

Foresight is an open discussion forum where everyone, regardless of their status, may propose own scenario of the future developments. The aim of the project is to come up with a scenario plan for the construction sector. The projects in the framework of this scenario will be implemented on the basis of AWH.

In total, the project is expected to gather more than 300 experts from different cities of Russia and the world. Among them are wooden house manufacturers and developers, architects and designers, constructors and engineers, suppliers of technologies and materials, environmentalists, scientists, representatives of state bodies and public associations. The final session will be held during the annual Congress of AWH, it will mark the finish line of the association’s works carried out during the year.

The first session took place on 6 May in Saint-Petersburg State University of architecture and construction (SPbGASU). The participants worked on the key topic of frame technologies.

The session gathered representatives of the following companies: TKDom, IZBURG, NLK-Domostroenie, Metsa Wood, VELUX, Innodrev, as well as experts from SPbGASU, Design Institute, and Podari-Derevo environmental fund.

The session was moderated by the expert in organizational design, management consultant Alexey Yatsyna and Deputy Chairman of AWH, CEO of Bolsheprolet company Ekaterina Furman.
