New investment project in the Kostroma region: more than 1 billion rubles will be invested in timber processing

The new enterprise will be created by combining the capacities of the logging company “Dom-Stroy” and the wood processing enterprise “GK Forest”.

Plans to create a new timber industry complex Governor Sergei Sitnikov discussed with the owners of the companies during a working trip to Galich district.

The main task of combining the two companies is to increase production volumes. The company “Dom-Stroy” a significant amount of the annual allowable cut. At the site of the enterprise “GC Forest” the necessary capacity for wood processing is created.

The decision to merge has already been made, and the necessary documents are being processed. At the same time, new production facilities are being built at the site in Galich District. The joint venture for logging and deep processing will be called “WoodImpex44”.

“The merger decision will allow us to increase our production by 3-3.5 times by the end of the year. Approximately 300-350 people will work in the company,” said Yuri Losev, Director of GC Forest.
