New forest department directors appointed in Tomsk and Arkhangelsk

Tomsk-Arkhangelsk, November 27. Vladimir Zablotskiy has been appointed head of the forestry department in Tomsk region, as regional press service reported.

Vladimir Zablotskiy was born in 1955 in Altai region. He graduated from Siberia Technological Institute in Krasnoyarsk in 1978 with a diploma in forestry. Zablotskiy has 30 years of experience in the industry, as he made a career from forestry worker up to ministry’s top official. He also has PhD in biology and D.Sc. in agricultural sciences.

Along with Tomsk region, new appointment was also made in Arkhangelsk. Sergei Shevelyov was appointed minister for natural resources and forest industry.

Shevelyov was born in 1962 and graduated from Arkhangelsk forest institute in 1988 as forestry engineer. His experience in the regional forest industry is more than 30 years. He held various managerial posts at forest enterprises and forestry units. In 2011-2012 he directed forestry department at the Ministry for Natural Resources of Arkhangelsk region.
