“Mondi Syktyvkarsky timber industry complex” invested 5 billion rubles in the modernization of treatment facilities

Last Friday, 22 March 2019, a solemn opening of the upgraded wastewater treatment facilities for “Mondi Syktyvkarsky timber industry complex”.

At the presentation of the implemented project, the General Director of Mondi SLPK Klaus Peller noted that ” the main treatment facilities were launched in 1969, in parallel with the launch of the plant. In 2013, the first stage of full modernization was started, in 2017 — the second and final stage of the treatment facilities renovation”.

During the six-year period of the project, the volume of investments amounted to almost 5 billion rubles. The capacity of the updated facilities is more than 80 million cubic meters, which allows Mondi SLPK today to clean industrial effluents of the plant and 100% of domestic sewage of Syktyvkar, Ezhva district, Zelenets, Vylgort, and neighboring industrial enterprises.
