Kronospan is going to launch production of bases for wood-based panels near Kaluga

Kronospan intends to implement its second investment project on building a plant producing bases for wood-based panels from ready-made pulp by Ultra Decor Rus in the territory of Kaluga Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The respective agreement was signed between Vladislav Shapsha, Governor of the Kaluga Region, and Peter Kaindl, Director, Kronospan Holdings East Limited.

The plant is going to produce basic paper used as a raw material at enterprises producing laminated MDF / HDF / particleboard; one of these is its own production venue, Kronospan Kaluga. The project’s total investment value is 4.3 billion rubles.

The volume of produced goods will reach up to 40,000 tons per year. It is planned to launch the production venue in Q1 2022.
