The Republican forestry Agency held meetings with forest users. The topic of discussion was problematic issues in the use of forests, sustainable forest management and prevention of violations of forest legislation in the use of forests.

Individual entrepreneurs and forestry specialists participated in the meeting chaired by the head of the Republican forestry Agency Alexander Martynov.

One of the priority issues of discussion is the issue of the register of unfair forest users. The register of unscrupulous tenants of forest areas and buyers of forest plantations is an effective mechanism in solving the problem with forest users who systematically do not fulfill contractual obligations.

Specialists of the Republican forestry Agency send information about unscrupulous forest users to Rosleskhoz. Entering of information into the specified register excludes possibility of access of unfair forest users to forest resources in the enterprise purposes.

The register is maintained in respect of tenants and buyers with whom contracts have been terminated for reasons of non-performance of contractual obligations, as well as persons who have evaded the conclusion of a forest lease or purchase and sale of forest plantations.

In the register of unfair forest users who carried out their activities on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, 9 loggers are included.

Also one of the important issues of the meeting was the issue of increasing the tax base. Individual entrepreneurs have to enter into contracts of employment of employees, to increase official pay and register all equipment used for carrying out logging activities in Rostekhnadzor.
