Government abolished VAT on imports of equipment for OSB and MDF production

At the website of the Russian Government, the Decree #419 as of May 15, 2013 is published. In accordance with the decree, the list of equipment which has no analogues produced in Russia and is therefore not subject to VAT is expanded.

The document came into force on 28 May. The tax is abolished for the imports of the following equipment:

-drying equipment for the production of OSB (Customs Commodity Classification # 8419 32 000 0);

-propane dehydrogenation equipment, technological lines for the production of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), polyvinyl chloride suspension (PVC-C), polyvinyl chloride emulsion (PVC-E), autoclave with stirrer capable of carrying 80 m3 of super-duplex SAF 2507 steel; energy park equipment for OSB production (# 8419 89 989 0);

-aspiration systems for the production of OSB (# 8421 39 200 8);

-finishing lines for OSB production (# 8465 91 200 0); log handling lines for OSB production (# 8465 96 000 0);

-technological lines capable to produce 215 m3 of MDF per day; 500 m3 of MDF; 750 m3 of OSB; formation and pressing equipment for OSB production (# 8479 30 100 9).
