Exports of roundwood from the Far East fell by 27.4% in January-February 2020

According to the data of the Russian Government, the decline is mainly conditioned by the foreign economic situation and the ban on issuing phytosanitary certificates.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, exports of roundwood from the Far East decreased in January-February 2020 by 27.4% YoY to 349,000 m3. Exports of sawn timber from the Far East decreased In January-February 2020 by 17.9% to 388,000 m3.
