Büttner will supply a second drying line for Norbord’s OSB plant in Scotland

The Canada-based Norbord OSB-manufacturing company will be installing a second drying line at its plant in Inverness, Scotland.  The order for the supply of a new drying line OSB and power plant was received by the company Büttner, the press service of Büttner.

The capacity of the drum dryer with dimensions of 6.5 m x 36 m is 45 t/hour of dry chips and above. Wet chips fed into the dryer from the metering hopper volume of 500 m3, can also supply a firm Büttner.

The power plant generates 41 MW of flue gas to heat the dryer. The supply of the power plant includes a movable floor, conveyors for supplying burned fuel, as well as brickwork. The drying line and the power plant will be delivered in full by the end of 2019.

Büttner is a leading international supplier of drying systems, energy systems and combustion chambers for slab production. Büttner is part of the Siempelkamp group.
