Belarusian woodworking enterprises increased supplies to China to $12.1 million

Enterprises of the concern “Bellesbumprom” significantly increased exports to China, according to the corporate press service. In Q1 2019, the concern’s enterprises shipped products to the Chinese market for $12.1 million, which significantly exceeds the level of exports for the same period last year. For Q1 2018, the volume of exports amounted to only $246.6 thousand.

It is worth noting that 2018 for the concern’s enterprises was the year of active development of the Chinese market. The volume of shipments grew with each quarter and reached its highest growth by the end of the year. Therefore, over the past year, China was supplied with products for $14.7 million, which is five times higher than in 2017. The main exports made up of bleached sulphate cellulose of production of  Svetlogorskiy pulp and paper integrated works, OJSC. In addition, lumber, paper, cardboard and plywood were supplied to China.

In November 2018, the products of the concern’s enterprises were presented at the First Chinese international exhibition of imported goods and services China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Within the framework of this exhibition, contracts were signed with Chinese companies for the supply of new batches of products of enterprises.
