Belarus: In the next two years, another 5-7 wood pellet plants will be built in the forestry units

This was announced by the Minister of Forestry Vitaly Drozhzha during the opening of pellet production in the Borisov experimental leshoz. “Due to the imbalance of supply and demand in the forest, a large amount of residual raw materials, including low-quality wood, was formed. An effective way to use it is to process it into fuel granules. Pellet plants based on six leshozes should solve this problem, ”the minister said. The total capacity of their production is 156 thousand tons per year. Profitability of production will be 20%.
