In the House of Republic on 17 June 2019, the acting Head of Bashkortostan Radium Khabirov and the founders of SibaiPlitProm Sergey Kurenkov and Vsevolod Chirkovskiy signed an investment agreement between the government of the Republic and the company on the construction of a plant for the production of OSB.

The design capacity of the plant is 578 thousand cubic meters of products per year. Environmental assessments and public hearings have already been conducted. The total investment in the project will exceed 21 billion rubles. Taking into account the logging direction, investors intend to create at least 1 thousand jobs. To train qualified personnel in Bashkortostan it is planned to attract specialists from Canada.

As a raw material, the plant will consume low-grade wood in the amount of about 1 million cubic meters per year, which will help to achieve effective development of the cutting area in Zayralye. The company’s products have a high export potential. In addition, the production of wood boards implies the organization of new projects in the region for their further use and production of a wide range of finished products.

The project of the new enterprise was presented at the stand of the Republic of Bashkortostan within the Russian investment forum “Sochi-2019”. In addition, it is included in the list of priority investment projects of the Republic of Bashkortostan, which provides for the provision of tax benefits.
